Los Angeles is the second largest home to foreign consulates than any other American metropolitan area, after New York. 93 countries are represented in the Los Angeles Consular Corps.

The Los Angeles County Arts Commission, in collaboration with the Office of Protocol plans to convene consular meetings for County-based artists and arts organizations to explore potential collaborations, exchanges and presentations. Each meeting will focus on one country with the Consul General hosting. Since May 2004, meetings have taken place with the Consul Generals of Peru, Poland, Sri Lanka, France, Brazil and Mexico.

If you are a stakeholder in a past, present or future international cultural project (theatre, dance, music, or visual arts) with a specific country or countries of interest, please send an email to publicevents@lacountyarts.org with the subject line: Consulate Forum. In the body of the email please give your name and title, the name of your organization, the country of interest, the name of the collaborating international organization, the time period of your project, your telephone number and address. The Arts Commission will add your information to our international outreach list. As space is limited at these meetings, invitations will be made based on the organization, artistic discipline and verifiability of project.
