Cultivate/Create Initiative
The Cultivate/Create Initiative, funded by the National Endowment for the Arts and the Los Angeles County Quality & Productivity Commission, is providing $10,000 grants to nine arts organizations to commission new works of art. The grants must be matched on a dollar-for-dollar basis by new contributions from individual donors.
The commissions help drive donor engagement and strengthen the connections among the organization, the artist(s) and the people who support them.
Below is a list of the Cultivate/Create grantees and a description of their commissions, which will be presented by June 30, 2012. Come back to this site for project updates. Questions about the Cultivate/Create Initiative can be directed to grants staff at grants@arts.lacounty.gov or 213-202-5858.
