Description

The Marketing and Development intern will play an important role in disseminating information about our programs, ensuring timely, locally generated content for all of our online platforms based on work with community members in target neighborhoods as well as contributing to the development of campaign materials, proposals and the engagement of donors. This position will work approximately 25 hours a week from June through September.
 

Qualifications

- Strong written and verbal communication skills - A proficiency and/or experience with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite and other design and organizational applications - A strong sense of professionalism and willingness to work with others - The ability to take initiative - Strong organizational skills - An interest in community arts and culture as a strategy for community development - An interest in marketing and communications and familiarity with the various social media platforms - Graphic design ability is a plus, but not required.

LA Commons empowers people in neighborhoods to tell their unique stories through our Neighborhood Story Connections program - homegrown public art created by youth artists and professional artists, and connects people to these projects through tours, festivals, processions and joyful community events.
