Description

The Summer Dance Program intern will act as a second hand to the After-School Program Manager throughout the 10-week internship. They will engage in the planning, producing, and directing of the Summer Dance Program. They will be deeply involved in helping successfully run our Summer Dance Program and recruit and plan for our school year dance programs. This position will work 40 hours per weeks from June through August. 
 

Qualifications

Ideally, the applicant will have experience with dance and be an enthusiastic, energetic, and dependable person. The intern must have leadership qualities, good communication and organizational skills, and be a team player. Previous experience working with youth is ideal but not mandatory. Also useful is an understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel. The Summer Dance Program Intern must be a Bilingual Spanish speaker.

Everybody Dance LA! (EDLA!) transforms lives and communities through the power of dance. Our mission is to provide high-quality arts education to youth who live in low-income areas of Los Angeles. This important work cultivates lifelong skills of collaboration, discipline, and self-expression so our youth become confident and engaged participants in their education, career, and community. We have grown steadily since our founding in 1999, and in 2022-23, we served 7,991 youth ages 4 to 18 through our In-School and After-School Programs.
