Description

This internship provides hands on experience learning the nuts and bolts in production management of a complex annual music institute and music education workshop and conference. The expected hours are 15-20 hours per week from June through December.
 

Qualifications

Experience in creating and posting social media, familiarity with project management applications (Excel or Numbers), calendar management programs such as iCalendar, zoom and Microsoft meeting calendar and affirmative task management skills are helpful.   
 

Background

The Hernandez Mariachi Heritage Society is the leading provider of mariachi music education through instruction, concert production, and curriculum development, in the United States. The Music Director and Founder of HMHS is Jose Hernandez, a multiple Grammy nominee, concert musician and composer whose work as an educator and music professional has been honored by multiple US Presidents, industry groups and music historians and cultural anthropologists in both Mexico and the United States. Jose is also the founder and music director of Mariachi Sol de Mexico and Mariachi Reyna de Los Angeles.
