The six-hour, Emmy-nominated cultural extravaganza is L.A.'s biggest holiday show - and it's free, so bring the whole family! Broadcast live from the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion on KCET, Holiday Celebration features music and dance of the season from the many neighborhoods and cultures of Los Angeles. TAIKOPROJECT's mix of Japanese drumming and hip hop, English and Korean holiday songs from Opera CaliforniaYouth Choir, street dance with a holiday spin from Antics Performance, African-American music from the Albert McNeil Jubilee Singers, and a range of seasonal stylings from traditional to contemporary by the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles, Harmonic Bronze Handbell Ensemble, Palmdale High School Choral Union and Salvation Army Tabernacle Children's Chorus are just a few of the selections from the more than 40 groups chosen to perform in this milestone celebration. Even the parking under the Music Center is free. Reservations for tickets to the show or parking are not necessary. Patrons can come and go as they like during the six hours. Doors open at 2:00 p.m. The L.A. Holiday Celebration is a gift to the community from the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors.
