HISTORY:

Each year since 1959 the Los Angeles County Arts Commission has produced a free Holiday Celebration on December 24 on behalf of the LA County Board of Supervisors. Community and professional choirs, music ensembles and dance companies representing the diverse cultures and holiday traditions of the region perform at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion at The Music Center while the program is broadcast live on public television. Approximately 5,000 people attend the program each year and a half million Southern Californian households tune in to the live broadcast. The live telecast on PBS SoCaL is produced by CDK Productions. Watch last year's show on PBS SoCal.org.
