Description

KCRW is looking for an organized, hardworking, creative, and passionate intern to join our Events department in Summer 2024, from June to September. The Events Intern will work with the Event Director for approximately 30 hours/week tofrom June to September support the department through production and administrative work during KCRW’s biggest event season. The intern will work with KCRW’s full Events department and collaborate with the Music, Communications, Membership and Art departments. The Events Intern will contact vendors, track RSVPs, and assist with event coordination to help the department successfully host large-scale events for the community of Los Angeles. This position provides an excellent opportunity to learn about the Events department and public radio operations at one of LA’s most well-known cultural institutions. We plan for this internship to be hybrid, taking place in-person at our Media Center in Santa Monica and remotely. Night and weekend availability are required for this position.
 

Qualifications

- Familiarity with Google Workplace (Google Drive, Google Docs, Gmail, etc.) - Strong interpersonal communication skills (in email, in person, on the phone) - Ability to multitask  - Interest in event production
