MUSICIANS ROSTER

Search by Style

Welcome to the
---------Los Angeles County Arts Commission's
----------------------------Musicians Roster

In our continuing effort to make the arts accessible to Los Angeles County, the Arts Commission is pleased to administer this comprehensive database of performers.

How it works
The Roster is searchable by key word, by name of artist, and by music style. Some music styles are broken into subcategories to better distinguish the nuances of a music genre. For instance, the jazz section includes subcategories such as smooth jazz, Latin jazz, etc.

Who uses the Roster
Producing organizations applying to present Free Concerts in Public Sites are required to select performers from the Musicians Roster. The Roster is also a resource for the community at-large to survey the rich
diverse pool of talent available to them in
Los Angeles County.

How it happens
Los Angeles County-based musicians apply for Roster consideration once a year. Each spring a panel of experienced and respected professionals associated with Los Angeles County music and/or presenting communities convenes to evaluate Roster applicants. Selection criteria is based on enhancing artistic excellence and cultural diversity, and the ability to work well and cooperatively with other organizations as representatives of this program.

Audio streaming was made possible by an agreement with the American Federation of Musicians.

Who is on the Roster
More than 100 groups currently reside on the Roster. Once approved, each group stays on this database for three years, at which time they may reapply. Roster artists can perform up to three concerts per year through the Free Concerts in Public Sites program.
