International Connections
The Los Angeles County Arts Commission, in collaboration with the Office of Protocol convenes consular meetings for County-based artists and arts organizations to explore potential collaborations, exchanges and presentations. Each meeting focuses on one country with the Consul General hosting. Since May 2004, meetings have taken place with the Consul Generals of Peru, Poland, Sri Lanka, France, and Mexico. Mailings and Listservs
Grant workshops, roundtables, and convening opportunities are elements of all Commission programs in keeping with the Commission's mission to play a leadership role in cultural services for the County, providing information and resources to the community, artists, arts organizations and municipalities. Announcements for these activities are sent through targeted mailings and electronically through the LA Culture Net.

Forums for Arts Commissioners
In 2005, the Arts Commission hosted the first Countywide Arts Commissioner Forum. Forums are designed to bring arts commissioners and their staff from throughout the county to discuss common issues, challenges, and to inform arts commissioners with information about their role and how they can be most effective. Through a series of panels and breakout sessions, participants learn about various topics including cultural planning, public art, arts education, and anything goes (a session where commissioners can discuss various issues), as well as gain advice from professionals and seasoned commissioners. Forums for Arts Commissioners have been hosted by the City of Glendale (2005) and the City of Culver City (2006).Los Angeles County Municipal Arts Survey Report

The Arts Commission maintains a data base of contacts within each of the 88 municipalities of the county, as well as other local arts agencies serving municipalities and incorporated areas in the county.
