LA County 2004 Arts Education Professional Development Program
FOR ARTISTS
An Opportunity for Artists to Strengthen their Arts Education Programs
The LA County Arts Commission invites teaching artists in all disciplines (music, theatre, dance, and the visual arts) to participate in a hands-on, interactive professional development program to develop practical tools and techniques to be more effective in a K-12 classroom setting.
Produced by the Music Center Education Division, this nationally-recognized course is being made available for the second time to artists throughout LA County. This level of professional development, led by Melinda Williams and Susan Cambigue Tracey, was previously only available to artists affiliated with the Music Center Education Division (MCED).

FOR ORGANIZATIONS
An Opportunity for Administrators to Strengthen their Arts Education Programs
The LA County Arts Commission invites arts education program directors and coordinators in all disciplines (dance, literary, media, music, theatre, dance, and the visual arts) to participate in a hands-on, interactive professional development program to develop practical tools and techniques to be more effective in a K-12 classroom setting.
Produced by the Armory Center for the Arts, this course is being made available to arts administrators throughout Los Angeles County for a second year. Lorraine Cleary Dale, Director of Professional Development and Training at the Armory, will facilitate the course, along with numerous guest presenters.
For more information about the training program, please visit www.armoryarts.org
A key stratgey for the Arts Commission identified in the Regional Blueprint is the creation of proffessional development opportunities for both Individual Artists and Arts Organizations Adminsitrators.
The training program additionally supports the Commission's development of an on-line resource directory, a strategy in the Blueprint, which will provide centralized access to approved, content-based arts education programs. Learn more
