The Cultural Equity and Inclusion Initiative (CEII) contained 13 recommendations to the LA County Board of Supervisors to ensure that everyone in LA County has equitable access to arts and culture, and to improve inclusion in the wider arts ecology for all residents in every community

In June 2017 the Board of Supervisors approved funding for five of these recommendations. But in addition to the 13 initial recommendations, the Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a motion to implement a private developer requirement for civic art in the unincorporated areas in March 2017, which is included as an additional CEII recommendation.
