The Burbank Leader reported that the LA County Arts Education Collective received the Burbank Arts For All Foundation 2016 Patron of the Arts Award. Burbank Unified School District was a vanguard district, joining the Collective in 2004. Collective coaches worked with district leaders to create a strategic plan for arts education and The Burbank Arts for All Foundation was established the following year to support the implementation of the plan. 

Staged to raise funding that ensures all of the 15,000-plus students in the Burbank Unified School District have equal access to a quality arts education, this event also honors individuals and organizations that embrace and forward the foundation's mission.

Co-chaired by Joan McCarthy and Cathy Stevens, and emceed by NBC LA weatherman Fritz Coleman, the event included the 2016 Patron of the Arts Award, bestowed to the Los Angeles County Arts Education Initiative [sic] represented by Denise Grande, Mark Slavkin and Laura Zucker.
