Fire Station 104

Project Description

Artist Anne-Elizabeth Sobieski was selected to create multiple artworks for Fire Station 104 in Santa Clarita. These artworks were created to respect the core values of firefighters, including tradition, service, camaraderie, and excellence, and aim to positively contribute to the identity of the new fire station. A series of fused glass artworks, “The Art of Firefighting,” fabricated by Judson Studios, were incorporated into four large windows on the main entry facade and the interior of the station. On the upper station tower, glass artworks on the north and east windows spell out “1 0 4.” Sobieski also created a children’s activity book which are available at Fire Stations 104 and 150.
