Project Description

The Public Works Headquarters contains an approximately 21,000-square-foot outdoor courtyard which did not have any significant upgrades since its construction in 1971. Artist Geoff McFetridge was commissioned to create a fountain featuring a custom three-dimensional tilework that utilizes water flow in imaginative and whimsical ways. The artwork “The Organic Infrastructure of a Living Community” was fabricated by Cal Pottery, and the work was installed and completed in June 2021.
