Hall of Records - Regional Planning 13th Floor

Project Description

The Department of Regional Planning is redesigning its headquarters on the 13th floor of the LA County Hall
of Records, a fifteen-story structure example of mid-century modernist architecture. The building was designed by Richard Neutra and Robert Alexander in collaboration with sculptor Malcolm Leland and is eligible for State and National Historical Registries. The commissioned artwork will be in the Flex Space, located at the core of the Regional Planning Headquarters' main lobby. The Flex Space will be used primarily by Regional Planning staff, yet other County departments’ staff and the general public will be invited for general meetings and special events.
