Description
The artists were commissioned as part of the upgrade and expansion of the Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK) Medical Center Campus. During the construction period, a covered pedestrian walkway measuring 900 feet long featuring a street-side panel or “canvas” that is approximately 4 feet high was provided. The Los Angeles County Arts Commission commissioned the artists to create a temporary mural for the walkway. The mural explores the relationship between healthy communities and arts and culture. This mural is no longer on view.
