Important Note: This opportunity is only open to organizations on the LA County Department of Arts and Culture’s Youth Development Through the Arts Pre-Qualified List.

Through this solicitation, the Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture (Arts and Culture) seeks Pre-Qualified organizations to provide arts-based youth development services for youth in Los Angeles County detention facilities (Camps and Halls) and/or other residential centers during the September, 2021 – August, 2022 program year, with an option to extend for two one-year periods or on a month-to-month basis for up to twelve months, based on initially contracted rates and/or cost of living adjustments, depending on needs and availability of additional funding.

Consultants will provide arts instruction for youth in each assigned location, where services generally include, but are not limited to:

  • Up to three days per week of instruction (most often scheduled Monday through Friday, though Saturday, Sunday, or evening workshops are sometimes requested)
  • Up to three hours of instruction per day (this could be split into multiple sessions of varying lengths, but will not exceed three hours total for each day of instruction)
  • Up to 15 youth per session
  • Cycles of instruction that are typically 12 weeks in length. Cycles generally follow the seasons, with a Fall cycle (September through December), Winter cycle (January through March), Spring cycle (April through June), and Summer cycle (July through August).

Project Proposals in response to this Solicitation are due July 7, 2021.
