Description

The arts administration intern provides crucial support for all programs and is instrumental in assisting to coordinate, plan, and execute art exhibits, special events, workshops, public art and event set up. Additional activities include marketing and promotion for the organization, communicating with outside vendors, performers, donors and artists. This position will work approximately 20-30 hours per week beginning in June and ending in November.

Qualifications

Successful candidates will have/be:

  • Creative and detail oriented -Efficient time management
  • Ability to work independently as well as with a team
  • Ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, be detail driven and organized, and be flexible and comfortable with a fast-paced working environment.  
  • General to advanced knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet (Excel) and graphic software (Photoshop/Canva)
  • The ability to climb ladders and lift 50 lbs. as needed, as well as making trips up and down stairs
  • Have a valid CA driver’s license and have a working vehicle.
