Antaeus Theatre Company is a cooperative theatre ensemble founded to empower the actor and to bring classical theatre to Southern California. The company exists to create a family of artists and audiences and is dedicated to exploring stories with enduring themes.
Antaeus is located at the Kiki & David Gindler Performing Arts Center in Downtown Glendale and is a leading intimate theater in Los Angeles. The center includes an 80-seat theater, a reconfigurable 36-seat performance/classroom space, and theater classics library. Antaeus is seeking an individual with a desire to learn more about the elements of managing a fast-growing intimate theater company. She/he/they will gain a comprehensive understanding by working alongside our Executive Director, as well as other members of the staff. The intern will split their time between managing special events, preparing for our next season, and working in our administrative offices.
The Theater Management intern should have strong communication skills and be comfortable communicating in person, on the phone, and in writing. Candidate should display a love of theater, a willingness to learn, resourcefulness, patience, high energy, sense of humor, and a professional demeanor. Candidates must have strong computer skills. Qualified candidates must have a flexible schedule, particularly with regard to performances and events that may fall on evenings and weekends. The intern must love challenges and enjoy being part of a dynamic, fast-paced team.
