Background

The mission of the San Pedro Waterfront Arts District (“Arts District”) is to promote San Pedro’s diverse arts, culture and creative economy through advocacy, marketing and education activities.  As a naturally occurring Arts District since the 1940s, many artists and art organizations moved to San Pedro and became vital to the community’s vibrant arts and cultural life. The arts and the historic waterfront are the Arts District’s primary resources for providing social, cultural, physical and economic benefits to the surrounding community.  The Arts District is home to over 40 art studios/galleries, over 25 unique non-chain restaurants and many world class visual artists, whose work is displayed in notable institutions.  More information about the Arts District's projects, activities and initiatives are available on our website: SanPedroWaterfrontArtsDistrict.com.
