The program and membership intern will play an essential role in preparing for and executing ACSO’s 2021 Annual Conference Online (August 2021), a signature learning experience for orchestra professionals throughout California. The intern will also help to prepare for the fall 2021 annual membership renewal campaign and to successfully serve and support ACSO’s members who are made up of orchestras, festivals, choruses, businesses, and individuals. This position will work approximately 20 hours a week from June through October 2021.
We seek someone who is flexible enough to work on a small team where everyone wears multiple hats, who is curious and excited to learn new things, and who asks great questions and isn’t afraid to bring new ideas to the table. Because the intern will be working remotely, we seek someone who is self-sufficient and self-motivated, can work independently, but knows when to ask for help or input. The intern must possess excellent customer service skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, strong research skills, strong organizational and project management abilities, and is obsessive in their attention to detail. They must be experienced with the Microsoft Office Suite and have the ability to learn new software programs and databases. An interest in classical music is a plus.
