The Education Intern will have the opportunity to be fully integrated in the Education and Community Partnerships Department of one of the nation’s largest theatre companies. The intern will work with the Interim Department Director to focus on developing content for Center Theatre Group’s online career resource center for early-career theatre artists, the Working in Theatre portal, and will work with higher education partners and other team members to create additional content for the resource center. They will also gain experience in arts education program development and evaluation, best practices for program marketing and communications, and working within one of the nation’s largest nonprofit theatre companies. This position will work 40 hours a week from June through August 2021.


Ideal applicants would have an interest in career development for emerging artists and arts professionals and/or arts education, strong writing skills, and a commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion. Interest in web-based learning—or experience designing or utilizing online learning tools—is preferred. Note that the intern will not be teaching; experience in this area is not necessary.
