The mission of the dA Center for the Arts, a diverse, multi-discipline, non-profit organization is to enhance the quality of life for the greater community of Pomona by educating and providing opportunities to experience, appreciate and support the arts.
The dA Center for the Arts’ Summer Internship opportunity in arts administration provides an immersion experience to individuals interested in pursuing careers in the arts with hands - on exposure to administration, development, pr and marketing, capacity building, event planning, programming, production, and management. As part of the daily operations, the Intern will work with both staff members and art leaders to help the students with their enrollment and class needs. The dA invites liberated learning by stepping outside the classroom and acquiring a set of skills applicable in careers as artists, administrators, and future arts leaders.
Ideal candidates will identify with our mission and have a deep interest in the arts, civic engagement, and communication. Excellent writing skills, open to working with the public, bilingual and bi-literate applicants are encouraged. Applicants with graphic design or video production experience are encouraged.
Some duties include: coordinates marketing and social media initiatives that drive attendance to the dA’s exhibitions, classes, programs, and programs; assist with developing, advertising and print production projects; interfaces with dA students, art leaders, board, staff, and civic leaders. outreach initiatives to schools, cultural institutions, and other partners.
