Echo Park Film Center is a non-profit media arts organization committed to providing equal and affordable community access to film/video resources via five channels: a neighborhood microcinema space, free and nominal cost education programs, a comprehensive film equipment and service retail department, an eco-friendly mobile cinema & film school, and local and international artist residencies.
Echo Park Film Center is a COOP run by 20 individuals in a non-hierarchical fashion. Coming from all walks of life, Co-op members include both experienced and self-taught filmmakers, queer identifying filmmakers, artists of color, art school graduates, and EPFC youth film program alumni.
We encourage our summer intern to become part of this family and have an equal voice and participation in running the space.
We welcome applications from any and all candidates interested in working in a non-profit media arts center. Applicants should have at least a basic familiarity with the operation and workings of analog and digital film equipment and a desire to share this knowledge with the public.
