Education Through Music-Los Angeles (ETM-LA) is a non-profit whose mission is to provide and promote the integration of music into the curricula of disadvantaged schools in order to enhance students' academic performance and creative and general development. ETM-LA is dedicated to providing disadvantaged LA County schools with quality, comprehensive, sequential and standards-based music education as part of the core curriculum for every child.

The Program and Operations Intern will work with the Education Through Music-Los Angeles program and operations staff to facilitate the processing and management of program evaluation data. The intern will assist in developing and maintaining the Resource Center, as well as assembling curriculum and lesson planning materials for ETM-LA teaching artists and music educators. Additional tasks include organizing online concerts for the winter season, developing curriculum and lesson planning materials for teaching artists and music educators, and providing project management and administrative support as needed. This is a remote position with flexible hours starting in September.


The intern should display an earnest interest in music and music education and must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable. Basic computer skills, such as Excel and Word as well as familiarity with using google drive. Being an initiative taker and a team-player with an interest in the field of education, a positive attitude, personal motivation, and a desire to learn about nonprofit organizations are also a must.
