The Ford Theatres is one of the oldest and most historically significant performing arts venues in LA. Located in a 32-acre County park, the Ford is operated by LA County through a partnership between the Department of Parks and Recreation and the Ford Theatre Foundation. The development intern will play a key role in the planning and implementation of audience, donor and board cultivation events during the Ford Theatres’ 2019 season. The intern will work with the development team to prepare and mail invitations, coordinate event logistics, and interface with Ford audiences, donors, and Board members. This position will be supervised by the Development Manager.


Candidates should outstanding written and oral communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills, as well as strong time management and organizational skills. Experience with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as the aptitude to learn new software, is also required. Candidates must be available to work on some evenings and weekends as needed (schedule will be arranged to keep the work week at 40 hours). Must be self-motivated, work well under pressure and be flexible. Successful candidates will be reliable and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
