Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles is deeply rooted in service to the Los Angeles community but has become one of the leading LGBTQ arts organizations in the world. Since 1979, GMCLA has consistently grown, developing educational programs that change the lives of students throughout LA County while offering dozens of performances each year, recording full-length studio recordings, commissioning new works and arrangements (more than 300 in total), and appearing frequently on national television.

8920 Sunset Blvd Ste 200B West Hollywood, CA 90069

The Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles seeks an intern who is passionate about the performing arts and LGBTQ rights to join the Marketing team and learn how to manage social media and concert campaigns. The intern will learn about all aspects of the organization by attending a major concert, seeing GMCLA music education programs for incarcerated youth in action, and joining in our advocacy work for the LGBTQ community during Pride month in June.

By the end of the summer, the intern will have learned how to differentiate audiences across different marketing platforms, but consistently relay the organization's mission across all mediums. Additionally, they will help further establish and communicate the GMCLA brand, balancing publicity regarding our concerts and performances, arts education programs, and activism. They will also have made professional contacts throughout the city and learned about many of the available career tracks in performing arts administration.
