Description

The Production Intern will focus on DIGITAL PRODUCTION for Grand Performances’ 2023 summer programming at California Plaza in Downtown Los Angeles. They will assist with logistics related to filming, editing, and distributing live and pre-recorded performances across various platforms. The intern will also create, manage and update multimedia content for websites, social media, mobile applications, interactive media, and other digital products. This position will work between 30 - 40 hours per week from June 1 - August 26, 2023.
 

Qualifications

- Current undergraduate student - Available to work evenings and weekends at performances - Creative, proactive, highly organized, computer literate, outgoing, and adaptable - Possess strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills - Social Media experience: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Snapchat - Experience with Photoshop and other Adobe Creative Suite programs - Experience with Microsoft 365, Google Drive, and Dropbox is a plus - Detail-oriented and able to complete tasks in a timely manner - Professional demeanor when interacting with staff, technicians, volunteers, patrons, and artists
 

Background

Grand Performances (GP) is the longest-running free performing arts presenter in Los Angeles with a mission to inspire community, celebrate diversity, and unite Los Angeles through free access to global performing arts. The 37th annual summer season (July – September 2023) will consist of 20+ live events at the renovated California Plaza in downtown Los Angeles. Performances are filmed for onsite LED projections and live-streamed. They are later rebroadcast on GPYouTube and FB live channels, expanding audiences for our world-class performing artists.
