Greenway Arts Alliance unites communities through art, education and enterprise. Through our professional productions and arts education programs, Greenway builds a vibrant artistic community by connecting professional artists to the greater Los Angeles community. Internship will focus on implementing marketing projects and social media for Greenway events, including creating a pop-up marketing booth at the Melrose Trading Post, a weekly market held every Sunday in the parking lot.
The Melrose Trading Post Marketing & Community Engagement Intern will work alongside Greenway's Marketing Manager and Co-Artistic Director to market and promote Greenway's 2018/19 events. The internship will focus on implementing an interactive marketing project, creating social media for our programs, organizing equipment, and engaging the Melrose Trading Post’s visitors in the Greenway Arts Pop-Up at the Melrose Trading Post, our weekly market held every Sunday in the parking lot of Fairfax High School.
The Marketing Intern will possess strong written and oral communication skills and should be comfortable with working with a diversity of people. S/he is self-motivated and flexible in performing a myriad of tasks including basic graphic design and art projects. Previous experience in marketing is a plus. S/he should have a desire to learn the basics of marketing and community engagement.The intern should be fluent with computers (PC/Mac), Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Internet Research and online social networking. Adobe Software knowledge is a plus.
