International City Theatre is Long Beach's resident professional theatre company producing five main stage productions and six education programs annually. ICT was founded in 1985 with a mission to educate, entertain, inspire and provoke thoughtful dialogue through live theatre. ICT is an award-winning company and has received more than 350 professional awards to date including the L. A. Drama Critics Circle Award for Sustained Excellence in Theater.
Development and Marketing Intern needed for professional, non-profit and award winning International City Theatre. 2018 marks its 33rd season which includes 5 main stage productions and 6 education programs. Intern will have an opportunity to work in various areas of arts administration and learn a lot about what it takes to run a professional theatre. With a small staff, the intern will be a valued member of this fun team in downtown Long Beach - walking distance to coffee houses, great restaurants, and other art venues. Convenient public transportation close by.
Intern should have analytical, administrative, communication, creative and organizational skills. Computer skills are a must. Graphics knowledge a plus. A sense of numbers and language is needed as well as good people skills, professional appearance, manner and a sense of humor. Knowledge of Access, Photoshop and/or Illustrator a plus.
