Description

KCET, part of the Southern California Public Media Group is seeking a creative Social Media Intern for Summer 2019 to join our team and assist with creating and developing social media content and strategies in support of two of our original content shows, Artbound and City Rising. Duties will include implementing our social media strategy, writing and publishing multiple posts on Facebook and Twitter daily, collaborating with show producers and senior social media staff to create image/video content, and driving social media efforts to support business goals.

Qualifications

KCET is seeking applicants with a passion for public media and a desire to join a highly creative, fast-paced social media production team. Interns will work with directors, producers, and editors on digital video and editorial projects.

The ideal candidate: - Personally uses and understands multiple social media platforms; solid grammatical and writing skills with some experience of copywriting a plus; interested in pursuing a degree in film/television, marketing, communications, digital or related studies; experience in video editing on Premiere Pro a definite plus.
