The Development and Communications Intern will report to the Associate Director and work with the Development and Communications team to support the organization's marketing and fundraising goals. This includes maintaining the organization's social media calendars and responding to community inquiries, connecting with individual donors and supporters. The Production Intern will have regular check-ins with the Events & Exhibitions manager to ensure that work-plan goals are on track and time-lines are being met. The Development and Communications Intern will also work closely with the Events and Exhibitions Manager to ensure that marketing and promotion of the organization's activities align with production time-lines, exhibition content or event marketing. This is a part time remote position working about 20 hours a week from August to February.
A successful candidate will have: great attention to detail, able to manage time effectively and comfortable working in a collaborative environment. Desired technical skills are: knowledge of Photoshop and/or Adobe Illustrator, Google Drive, Asana, experience or knowledge in setting up audio/visual equipment, experience in carpentry or working with carpentry tools & equipment. Photography knowledge is highly desired, but not required.
