Description

The LBO Development Intern will assist in the development planning for the upcoming LBO season and in the final administration of the previous season. Working closely with the Development Manager, the development intern will play an assisting role, by providing administrative support to the development department and participating in all fundraising activities including donor cultivation, direct appeals, grants, and special events. The main tasks will be helping maintain a comprehensive grants calendar, helping research grant opportunities, and assisting in writing and submitting timely and accurate reports for all existing grant-funded projects. Additionally, the intern will help manage the development department’s side of LBO’s donor database. This means helping to accurately input all contributions and pledges, preparing transmittals for contributions to the finance department, regularly updating all departments on donations received, generating acknowledgment letters, and providing accurate reports of all fundraising activity in the database. This intern will work approximately 15-20 hours from August 2023 to February 2024. 

Qualifications

Proficiency is needed in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills and a passion for the arts and LBO's mission is required.
