Founded in 1979, Long Beach Opera (LBO) exists to expand the boundaries of the opera experience in Southern California by presenting new and rarely performed works that engage diverse audiences and instill a love for opera in youth. LBO offers diverse Southern California audiences with new and rarely performed works that engage with the world around us.
This position offers the unique opportunity to transition LBO's host of educational programming to remote offerings during the 2020-21 school year. The intern will aid in coordinating performances with LA area schools and other education partners, liaison with teaching artists, and provide assistance for other department activities as needed. This position will be partially remote, and work between 15-20 hours a week from September through March.
Strong writing and communications skills are required.
