Key Responsibilities:
● Assist on set during film shoot days (up to 7 weekend days per year)
● Collect and organize film assets such as bios, descriptions, photos, contact information,
● Create and/or edit promotional materials such as invitations, social media images, web
images, etc.
● Generate and/or edit copy for invitations, press coverage, event-related correspondence
and eblasts.
● Assist with email marketing & communications
● Interact with contact lists and communications schedules
● Research and pursue media outlets and potential partners for film & event promotion
Schedule & Compensation:
This is a part-time position estimated to be 15-30 hours per week between June 2021 and
March 2022. Working hours will be primarily M-F between 9am-5pm, with some weekend work
days required. Schedules will be flexible and determined in advance between the intern and
their supervisor. Pay rate is $15/hour and intern is expected to complete 400 hours over the
course of the internship period.


Required Qualifications:
● 2021-22 Arts Internship positions will be open to currently enrolled undergraduate (2 or
4-year) and community college students who reside or attend college in Los Angeles
● Recent graduates may apply as long as they have completed their degree between May
1 - December 1, 2021
● LWSD and the Department of Arts and Culture encourages eligible students from all
ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds, as well as disabled students, to apply
● Students who have already earned a BA, BS, or a higher degree are not eligible for the
Los Angeles County Arts Internship Program
● Students who have previously participated in the program are not eligible to participate a
second time
● Students who are invited to participate in the program will be asked to provide
verification of eligibility via college transcripts, driver’s license, and other documents to
show enrollment status and/or LA County residence
● There are no exceptions to our eligibility requirements
Desired Qualifications:
● Interest in women’s stories, film, nonprofit management, and/or arts marketing
● Comfortable working remotely and communicating via phone, email and video calls
● Graphic design experience using Canva, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop or other design
● Comfortable working with and learning new software programs
● Experience working within Google Suite, including Google Drive, Docs, Sheets
● Experience working with Microsoft Word & Excel
