Digital programming and social media have taken on singular importance for the Los Angeles Review of Books in light of the ongoing pandemic. The LARB Digital Programming intern will have the opportunity to work alongside LARB's Managing Director, Social Media Manager, and other program leadson a variety of tasks related to the production of virtual events with leading authors, scholars, and artists, online fundraising, the promotion and marketing of all LARB programs, including our online magazine, LARB Radio, print Quarterly Journal, Books division, and Publishing Workshop. The LARB Books Intern will develop skills in research, digital media, event production, marketing, and gain invaluable experience working at a vibrant literary arts organization in a collaborative team environment. This is a fully remote position working 20-25 hours a week from October through March.
Internship Skills, Knowledge or Other Requirements:—Must be motivated, organized, and possess good communication skills—Attention to detail—Excellent reading, writing, and proofreading skills—Interest in literature and/or the humanities.
