The Los Angeles Women's Theatre Festival was founded in 1993. LAWTF is the oldest solo festival for women in LA. LAWTF produced over 500 solo artists worldwide including those from France, England, Russia, Brazil, India and Canada. Since 1995, LAWTF has also bestowed over 90 Annual Theatre Awards to women who have made laudable contributions to theatre. LAWTF's outreach programs have served over 3000 youth in the LA Public Schools, seniors, ex-offenders and low income populations.

The Executive/Event Planning Intern will work closely with the Executive Producer in a number of ways and will have the opportunity to interface administratively with the Marketing, Event Planning and Development teams. Day to day duties will include communication by e-mail, telephone, correspondence and social media. This position will give the intern the opportunity to gain exposure and skill sets in diverse facets of non-profit management. This is a remote position working about 15-25 hours a week from August through March.


The Los Angeles Women's Theatre Festival is seeking a mature, motivated, flexible, self-starter and problem solver, with a passion for LAWTF's mission. Applicants must be organized, have strong computer, verbal and written skills and a desire to learn new skill sets. Candidates must possess the ability to work as a team player and to work independently with necessary supervision, as well as be able to multi-task and work under pressure, meet deadlines and pay close attention to detail and accuracy. Prefer applicants must have working computer knowledge of Word, Excel, Microsoft and other basic software programs. Knowledge of Constant Contact and social media platforms is a real plus.
