Help the Mobile Film Classroom (MFC) teach L.A. youth an arts based approach to telling their stories! The MFC marketing intern will assist with the marketing, communication, and public relations activities used to promote the organization. Additionally, the intern will have the opportunity to interact with the experienced MFC Board of Directors, with exposure to their diverse responsibilities. It will provide: - Skill development and job training: This internship will provide soft and hard skill training coupled with opportunities for cross-sector career exposure including social enterprise jobs as well as service and community engagement opportunities.- As an intern, you are researching other nonprofits in the community, not because we are afraid of competition, but so that we can collaborate, recognize, and turn potentially high-risk liabilities into community assets.- Help encourage awareness of media influence in youth and teach them how to consume and create media


- Alignment with MFC mission to inspire and educate youth in media. Help youth tell their stories through the medium of film - Desire to help advance social and economic equality and diversity in the Hollywood film industry - Comfortability working with people of all ages and backgrounds in all kinds of environments - Computer skills - Must have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a changing environment - Ability to learn other software programs- Strong verbal and written communication skills- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Familiarity with programs such as Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/Page Maker, Word Press, social media (e.g.You-Tube, Facebook, etc.), Survey Monkey, Word Press, Microsoft Office or Open Office, ConstantContact, and iPhoto or PC/web based photo programs
