MUSE/IQUE pioneers new musical experiences for people by creating educative live music events and outreach programs, all aimed at inspiring the creative spirit, engaging the community imagination, and fostering new generations of music lovers.
The Audience Development Intern will play an important role in engaging members in the summer and fall of 2019. The intern’s primary project includes concentrated data training in Patron Manager (the organizational database) and Excel to create and/or execute a targeted outreach strategy for members. Under the supervision of the Audience Development Manager, the Audience Development Intern will also assist in the preparations and day-of facilitation for three summer events, namely: assisting with member services, creating three marketing slideshows, finalizing the door lists for each event, training check-in volunteers and managing either the check-in table or the membership table at each event.
The Audience Development Intern must be highly organized, reliable and, above all, detail-oriented. The intern must be quick to learn and pick up new skills and office procedures. The intern will also be expected to have a professional phone demeanor as well as feel comfortable answering incoming calls. Strong oral and written communication skills are required as well as computer literacy (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). No prior knowledge of databases is required, but the intern must indicate a strong desire to receive training in this specialty.
