The Civic Engagement intern will participate in the design, planning and implementation of the The Music Center’s Partner Network Initiative (PNI), a cohort of community partners serving as advisors for TMC Arts. This includes researching best practices, and data capturing. The intern hired for this position should expect to be involved in all aspects of coordinating event and meeting logistics. This position will work approximately 30 - 40 hours a week from December 2021 to March 2022.
Interest in the Los Angeles arts and cultural sector preferred. Intern must demonstrate cultural sensitivity and competency. Eager to learn and ability to multitask. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be resourceful and capable of completed tasks with tight deadlines. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and technology-based communications (Microsoft Teams, Zoom). Dependable and punctual; must have a reliable source of transportation. Ability to travel for offsite events, work remotely, and/or available to work some nights and weekends, as necessary. Must be able to work in different environments such as home, office, theater, and outdoors.
PLEASE NOTE: Currently, the position is working remotely; however, a return to the office environment at some level will be necessary.
