The 2020 Producing Manager intern will provide support to The Music Center’s Senior Producer and Producing Production Manager to oversee The Music Center’s proposed fall hybrid Plaza events and The LA County Holiday Celebration show in the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. The Production Manager intern will take part in assisting the entire process of managing production budgets, contracts, dealing with vendors, scheduling work calls, and gathering artist production information. Should the opportunity arise, the intern will take point to oversee any related ancillary activity events. This intern will work about 15 hours a week from September to February, and will be working remotely.


Qualified candidates will possess a creative mindset, a readiness to collaborate in a team environment, be organized and have a strong ethic of individual responsibility. Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook and Excel are necessary, along with good written and verbal communication skills. They will possess the ability to take initiative in carrying out responsibilities with professionalism. Ideal candidates must have an interest in event production and be able to read and understand a small program budget.
