Musical Theatre West’s Production/Company Management Intern will learn about the preparations in production and casting for,and assist with our summer production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid and annual fundraiser, Broadway in the Park. Summer Intern will aid the Production and Company Manager from in every aspect of production from rehearsals to performances. This internship will introduce a student to real world experiences within the fields of production and company management. Students will get hands on technical experiences as well as administrative experience working with Actor's Equity agreements and performers.
The student should have an interest in company and production management for a musical theatre company. The student should be self-motivated, possess good organizational and interpersonal skills, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines. We are looking for someone with the ability to work well and collaboratively with a fast paced, high performing team. Students should be enrolled in a theater management, stage management, or technical theater program or have associated experience. Student must have a valid driver’s license. Ability to lift over 25lbs. Knowledge of basic administrative software (Microsoft Office, Adobe, etc.).
