Musical Theatre West’s Special Events Intern will learn about the preparations for and assist with our annual fundraiser, Broadway in the Park. Interns will gain valuable skills in relationship building, planning and organizing events, marketing, budget management and volunteer coordination. This internship will introduce students to real world experiences within the field of development.


The student should be self-motivated, possess good organizational and interpersonal skills, be detail-oriented, and have the ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines. We are looking for someone with the ability to work well and collaboratively with a fast paced, high performing team. The student should have an interest in learning about musical theatre, arts management, event management, and fundraising. A background in the arts, fundraising, or event planning is preferred, but not required. The student must be computer literate. Competency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with Adobe Suites and donor database systems is a plus, but not required
