The National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP) has a mission to advocate, advance, promote and advocate for Latino content creators across all media platforms. For over 18 years NALIP has been addressing the professional needs of Latino and diverse artists in film, television, documentary and digital/tech. NALIP works to strengthen and multiply the quantity and quality of images by and about Latinos while providing support for emerging, mid level, and advanced content creators.
The selected intern will assist in the development and production of original content by NALIP. Throughout the duration of this internship, the selected applicant will capture behind the scenes footage and photography stills of NALIP productions, cut and edit highlight videos, and capture footage throughout the duration of the NALIP events. The selected intern will also assist in the organization and maintenance of multiple hard drives with archival footage, design work, and staying up to date with industry trends. The selected intern will become well-versed in the stages of pre-production, production, and post-production through the scope of NALIP’s signature events and programs. The individual will learn effective communication and leadership skills in a professional environment, specifically in regards to equipment, software, vendor contracts, transportation, media releases, and services. This is a fully remote position working 40 hours a week from August through December.
The intern should be well-acquainted with: Video production workflows (i.e. timelines, strategies, etc.), Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator).Specific attention to detail, receiving constructive criticism/notes on produced content, methods of prioritization, effective time management.
