NewFilmmakers Los Angeles (NFMLA) is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization designed to showcase innovative works by emerging filmmakers from around the world, providing the LA community with monthly screening events. NFMLA provides a forum where filmmakers can be recognized for their contributions, have open audience discussions about their projects and connect with industry professionals for insight on distribution, production, acquisition and representation.
NewFilmmakers Los Angeles (NFMLA) is seeking a talented Organizational Graphic Design Intern to join the team and assist with creating general promotional materials for the organization.By the end of the internship, the Graphic Design Intern will have many diverse projects that the student can add to their portfolio. The intern will also leave the internship with a new understanding of the film industry's inner-workings in regards to independent cinema and film festivals. This position is on site working about 20 hours a week from August through January.
The ideal Organizational Graphic Design Intern candidate: 1. Has excellent Graphic Design skills using the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.). 2. Ideal candidate will also have a Graphic Design portfolio. 3. Manages multiple tasks while meeting deadlines. 4. Can create, maintain and report on social media campaigns. 5. Has a passion for photography, pop-culture, and media. 6. Is familiar with data analytics and filtering data in Google Sheets, Excel, etc. 7. Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills. 8. Is pursuing a degree in graphic design, film/television, marketing, communications, digital or related studies.
