Spend 10 weeks of your summer as a paid intern to help make history by being part of the production team for Los Angele's longest running Hip-Hop event, The Bboy Bgirl Summit. Learn how activism and the arts collide into "artivism" which is the platform for Bboy Bgirl Summit 2021. We are especially seeking a team interested in equalizing the playing field through equity for females in Hip-Hop by helping to create a valuable learning forum to increase the arts business knowledge for women. If you love Hip-Hop culture, and Bboying, Bgirling, Rapping, Deejaying, Graffiti art desire to learn while providing your talent(s) of social media, organizing, engaging, and bringing awareness we can teach you what is involved in successful event production and social engagement through art. If interested and available for a consecutive 10 weeks, 40 hours per week from June-August, 2021 you are encouraged to apply!
The desired intern will posses an active interest in social media, activism, and Hip-Hop culture and a desire to work with nonprofit orgs that help the community of Los Angeles, especially youth and families. The applicant should have an interest in social justice and equity for all. The applicant should be comfortable interacting with many different types of people from inner city at risk youth, to business professionals, artists, activists, and families. Applicant should be comfortable working in a fast paced environment, and some evenings and weekends will be a necessary part of work schedule. Candidates actively involved in people of color organizations and movements preferred.
No Easy Props, Inc is a 501c3 status organization committed to preserving Hip-Hop culture by providing quality Hip-Hop cultural dance, art, and music education, enrichment and entertainment for young people, families, and the community at large through engaging programs, workshops, performances, and competitive cultural events throughout the communities of Los Angeles and Denver. The goal is the provide a platform in which to engage youth on their own terms, help cultivate self-esteem, awareness and community stewardship, plus appreciation for diversity, while having fun!
