Outfest is the leading organization that promotes equality by creating, sharing and protecting LGBT stories on the screen. As a community-based film festival, Outfest focuses considerable resources on building bridges between audiences and filmmakers because of the intense bond of shared cultural experience. Outfest builds community by connecting diverse populations to discover, discuss and celebrate stories of LGBT lives.
The Video Content Production Intern will produce, film, and edit filmmaker interviews for web and social media along with filming live online panels for social media to help promote the festival. Not only will you have the opportunity to work for the premiere LGBTQ film festival in the world you will have the chance to hone your producing and editing skills.
Applicants should have basic photography, videography and nonlinear editing skills. Experience filming on a digital camera, Adobe Premiere, and prior experience creating content for YouTube are a plus. Applicants must be comfortable using Mac platforms and should possess a friendly and professional office demeanor. Knowledge of and interest in the world of independent film is very helpful. Prior event coverage experience is preferred. Reliable access to a car, particularly during the festival, is required.
