The Music Production Intern, under the guidance of the Music Department Lead at A Place Called Home, will be responsible for producing APCH’s Studio Album, the music production at APCH’s Gala for the Children, and the management of the Music Departments classes. This is a great opportunity for an entrepreneurial individual to build skills and experience around music production, live event management, editing, recording and mixing, and music education, all while serving the South Central Los Angeles community. Interns will work between 20 and 30 hours a week from June through December.
This is an ideal position for an enthusiastic and outgoing musician with a passion for music production and education. Applicants should have knowledge of audio engineering with a dedication to delving deeper and learning from a team of established music industry professionals. APCH Intern’s work in a fast paced environment and need a high degree of personal organization, self-motivation, and strong interest in working with young people alongside a team of fun and positive musicians.
A Place Called Home provides a safe, nurturing environment with proven programs in arts, education and wellness for the young people in South Central Los Angeles to help them improve their economic conditions and develop healthy, fulfilling and purposeful lives. Each year the organization serves 13,000 local residents, including 950 youth members ages 8- mid-twenties who are enrolled in core programs.
