Through live performances and stimulating music education programs,Santa Cecilia Orchestra works to share the beauty and inspiration of classical music with Southern California audiences, giving special focus to Latino communities that are underserved and underrepresented by the arts.
The Education Intern will provide support in researching education material and links to supplement our educational material and website. The Intern will assist in developing lesson plans to supplement our Discovering Music Program and provide assistance as we prepare our educational program to go remote. This is a fully remote position working 15-30 hours a week.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with children and has a desire to introduce arts to youth. Previous experience in performing arts and/or working with children is a plus. Candidates should be energetic, positive, patient, motivated, and must be comfortable working with children and parents. Car required.Candidate should have excellent organizational skills, communication skills, both oral and written. Excellent internet research skills, punctuality, reliability, follow-through, attention to detail, a flexible, energetic, creative individual, highly organized, as well as focused and self-motivated and able to juggle multiple tasks.
