The SMYO Media & Marketing Intern will help market, recruit for, and document the 2021 Opus World Music summer camp (July 5-31). You will work closely with the Executive Director and faculty to successfully carry out and chronicle the 4-week long camp. This position will work approximately 40 hours a week, June through September.
This position requires a knowledge of social media and documentation (photography and interview conducting.)
Santa Monica Youth Orchestra's mission is to provide a diverse, inclusive, integrative music program that engages young people, ages 5-18, from all cultural and economic backgrounds. Striving to eliminate as many barriers to entry into music as possible, SMYO’s weekly program is tuition-free, without auditions, and open to any young musician who can commit to weekly rehearsals. Our Opus World Music summer camp introduces students to music and arts from cultures all over the world.
